1.What we collect

Account details (email, name, organisation, and your password stored as a salted hash). Billing status from Stripe — we never see or store card numbers. Usage information (addresses and locations you search, features you use, and technical logs including IP address). Anything you submit in feedback or bug reports.

2.Why we collect it

To provide and secure the service, take payment, respond to support and feedback, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

3.Who processes it

Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting, Auckland region), Cloudflare (network proxy for our website), Microsoft 365 (email), and GitHub (feedback and bug reports you submit are filed to our private issue tracker). They process information only to provide their service to us. Map and data queries run from our servers without your identity attached.

4.Overseas storage

Our production servers are in Auckland, New Zealand. Some of our other processors may store data outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We choose providers with safeguards comparable to the Privacy Act 2020, as the Act requires.

5.Retention

We keep account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your account data sooner.

6.Landware Connect (Civil 3D plug-in)

When you pair the plug-in, it sends your computer name, the plug-in version and a pairing code to Landware. You approve the pairing in your browser. Landware then issues an API key for that computer.

When you import, the plug-in sends the area and layers you chose and, if the drawing has them, its coordinate system and units setting. It then downloads the result. It does not upload your drawing or its contents. It does not send telemetry. It checks for plug-in updates only while paired.

On your computer, the API key is held in Windows Credential Manager. Settings are saved in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Landware\connect.json. Downloaded exports and imported aerial images are kept in cache and media folders (by default under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Landware).

To remove the key, use Disconnect in the plug-in settings. To clear downloaded exports, use Clear cache there. An App Store install is uninstalled from Windows Settings, under Apps. A downloaded (ZIP) install is uninstalled by deleting the Landware.bundle folder from %APPDATA%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins.

7.Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask for a copy of your personal information and ask us to correct it. You can also withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your personal information, at any time. Contact [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

7.Property owner information

Source. Owner names come from the LINZ dataset NZ Property Titles Including Owners (layer 50805), supplied under the LINZ Licence for Personal Data.

Purpose. We show owner names to eligible users who agreed to the LINZ Licence for Personal Data when they created their account, for legitimate professional property work. Owner names must not be used for unsolicited direct marketing.

Storage. We query LINZ live when you request an owner lookup. We do not store owner names beyond a short cache, so that LINZ corrections and deletions take effect promptly.

Lookup log. We record each lookup (the user, the title number and the time) to check licence compliance and investigate misuse. We keep the log for [retention period].

Breaches. We notify LINZ of notifiable privacy breaches involving owner information.

Contact. For questions about owner information, or to report a concern, contact our Privacy Officer, Kyle Dirse, at [privacy contact email].
